As founder of Warpaint Magazine and its sister print issue, Warpaint Extra, Emma Rutherford has been serving pro and student makeup artists since 2003.  From film and TV to shoots and events, body art and prosthetics to hair and wigs, she has the inside track on what it takes to make it big in the professional industry.  Her 20 plus years of experience working with hundreds of top makeup artists and hair stylists, product lines, artist agencies, trade events, productions and publications make her uniquely qualified to share an insider’s perspective on the many facets of the pro industry.  She is an Associate Lecturer at both the University of the Arts London and the University of the Creative Arts (Epsom), along with being External Examiner for the University of Salford.  In 2021, she launched Beyond The Brush, a podcast hosted with Jennie Roberts of Paintopia, which features interviews with influential members of the makeup and body art worlds.
