Loading Bay - Delivering Stand Materials & Product

Please ensure that you only access the loading bay during the build-time allocated to your stand type - please refer to the timetable.  Vehicles do not need to be booked in but please note the loading bay will be busy and you may need to queue to access it.   Vehicles should be unloaded as swiftly as possible and then immediately removed.

  • The loading bay is open throughout build-up and breakdown and from 0800-0900 hrs on event days for stand re-stocking.
  • It is located to the rear of the BDC on Liverpool Road – satnav postcode N1 0QH.
  • Look for the “Goods In” sign between Bromfield Street and Barford Street.
  • Once unloaded, vehicles must be removed from the Loading Bay immediately.  If you need to park the vehicle once you have unloaded, please refer to the parking section below.
  • Respect must be paid to local residents when accessing the Loading Bay – observe road speed limits and keep noise levels to a minimum.
  • All drivers and crew must report to the security office upon arrival.
  • There is no pedestrian access through the Loading Bay barrier.
  • High vis must be worn at all times in the Loading Bay.
  • Please ensure you are wearing appropriate footwear – no heels or open toe shoes are allowed.
  • Hazard lights should be switched on when moving in the Loading Bay.
  • The speed limit in the Loading Bay is 5mph.
  • No rubbish or waste materials may be left in the Loading Bay – charges are levied for any abandoned items.
  • No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the Loading Bay.
  • Cars under 2m in height can load and unload from the carpark at the front of the BDC.
  • Loading Bay staff and traffic Marshalls must be cooperated with at all times.
  • Trolleys are not provided by the venue and your delivery company must therefore make adequate provision to move your goods from the Loading Bay to your stand.
  • All drivers delivering to the venue must be inducted with the event Site Rules prior to arrival at the venue.

Height Limits in the Loading Bay

The height limit for the main area of the Loading Bay (Lower Loading Bay) is 3m. If your vehicle is taller than 3m (with a maximum height of 4m), it will need to go to the Upper Loading Bay.

There are two goods lifts in the Loading Bay:

Loading Bay

Deliveries

  • Deliveries may not be sent to the BDC ahead of the event tenancy and therefore must not arrive before Thursday, 19 September. If you require advance warehouse services, please contact the official logistics partner, Worldwide Exhibition Specialists on info@wes-group.com / +44 20 8508 224
  • If you are sending goods direct to the BDC to arrive within the show tenancy period, goods should be addressed to:

  • If there is no one on your stand to sign for the delivery, couriers will be directed to the Organisers. However, the Organisers cannot be responsible for any losses or damages caused to any deliveries.

Customs

  • If you are shipping goods into and out of the UK, customs procedures apply, including from Europe. Customs clearance is needed to import and export goods and you will be required to produce shipping documentation. This may include commercial invoices containing produce descriptions, tariff numbers and terms of shipping.  It is highly recommended that you contact the event’s official shipping partner, Worldwide Exhibition Specialists, to arrange your shipping – contact info@wes-group.com / +44 20 8508 224

Re-Stocking, Saturday 21 Sept

  • The loading bay will be open from 08:00 on Saturday, 21 September and exhibitors can make deliveries between 08:00 and 09:00 hrs if they need to re-stock their goods. 
  • All vehicles must be removed from the Loading Bay by 09:15, ready for VIP access to the event at 09:30.
  • Remember that high vis must be worn in the Loading Bay.

Breakdown and Removal of Goods

  • Procedures for breakdown and the removal of goods will be advised in September.

Car Park Information

Parking – Upper Street Car Park

  • The BDC has a secure, 250-space car park on-site. If you are driving to the BDC, please ensure you pre-book your space to avoid disappointment.
  • It is located next to the BDC, under the Hilton Hotel. Satnav location:  N1 0PW
  • The carpark is open 7 days a week, 24hrs a day.
  • There is CCTV and on-site security within the carpark but vehicles are left at their own risk.
  • There are dedicated spaces for motorcycles and disabled drivers with a Blue Badge.
  • There are rapid charging points for electric vehicles.
  • The maximum height limit is 1.9m.

Please be aware that some zones operate Monday – Friday 10:00-12:00 (U Zone) and some operate Monday – Friday 10:00-14:00 (TW Zone). D Zone, which is just off Caledonian Road operates Monday to Friday 09:30 – 16:30. Brewery Road, Market Road, Blundell Road and North Road (S and D Zones) often have spaces for larger vehicles.

Please always check roads for additional restrictions and remember parking on double yellow lines is prohibited at all times.
